Mobilization Begins this Week


The construction mobilization for the Summit Affordable Housing development begins this week.  The land purchase was finalized last month. The contractor will begin preparations, including moving a construction trailer onto their property. They will begin to fence off the social trails in the area as they move equipment into the area.

You showed up with all of your talent and creativity and made this year's Holiday Parade of Lights extra special.  We appreciate how you all pivoted and understood changes to the route, the fire ban, a new locale for the Choirs to sing and much more. Thanks to everyone who entered and as always those who come out and enjoy the community.

RV Parking Ordinance

NEW!

Effective January 18, 2022,  recreation vehicles, watercraft and trailers in excess of 20 feet in length excluding hitches and  tongues, may not be parked on town streets or right-of-way for periods longer than 72 hours.

Welch Ct Sewer Line Replacement
The sewer line from the end of Welch Ct to 2nd Ave & Cobblestone Ct will be replaced. This includes replacing a manhole in the middle of 2nd Ave at Cobblestone Ct.  

1st Ave Water Line
A new water line is scheduled to be installed at the intersection of 2nd Ave., 1st Ave.,  and Mountain View.  This will allow 1st Ave. to receive higher pressure water flows for fire prevention.  

Longs Peak Dr
The sewer line work has been completed. Work on the new water line continues.

As a reminder, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions went into effect on November 30 for unincorporated areas of western Boulder County, which includes Lyons.

Holiday Giving Drive


You can help ensure every neighbor enjoys holiday meals and a comfortable season, by donating non-perishable food, toiletries, or funds to the Holiday Giving Drive. The Holiday Giving Drive is a collaboration between the Town of Lyons and the Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF), to provide hope and a spirit of community this holiday season. 
Donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and funds can be dropped off in the Cookie Monster Donation Bin, located in the front office of Town Hall, during normal office hours (Mon – Fri, 8AM to 4:30PM). The donations will be collected and distributed by LEAF.
