Seasonal Kayak Rentals
Rent a kayak from the town of Lyons! We offer monthly and seasonal rentals (through Sept. 15) from our fleet. All kayaks are singles and range in sizes that fit children and some adults. All rentals come with a kayak, paddle, life vest, and helmet.
Ages: must be 18 to rent
Dates: seasonal through September 15
Location: arrangements for pick up and drop off made through the Rec Dept
Fees: $50 a month OR $150 a season plus a refundable $150 deposit

Summer Artisan Market
Please join us for our 3rd annual Summer Artisan Market. Sign up today to sell your quality creations in a lovely outdoor setting along the St Vrain Creek in Bohn Park. Each vendor will receive a 10' x 10' booth space with plenty of room between booths for shoppers to browse. Tables may be in shade or sun depending on the time of day. Shade tents are allowed with water weights or sandbags. Staking in the turf is not permitted. This event is scheduled to run in tandem with Lyons Community Foundation's BBQ and cook off and will feature live music. Vendors are responsible for obtaining a Special Event License from the state, as well as filing their special event sales tax return.

Creative Youth Booth at the Summer Artisan Market
Are you a creative kid or know someone who is? We are offering young artists the opportunity to sell their wares at our Summer Artisan Market again this year. Artists from 6 years old through high school can sign up for a 2 hour time spot and sell their art free of charge. Time slots are 10 am - noon, noon - 2 pm, and 2 - 4 pm. Time slots are assigned on a first come first serve basis and can fill quickly. Vendors age 12 or under must have a parent or guardian on site. A display table will be provided. Claim your spot today!

Holiday Artisan Market
Hello artisans, it's that time of year again! You'll want to register early to reserve your spot at our annual Holiday Artisan Market. This event is scheduled for the first weekend in December on the same weekend as the Parade of Lights. Come sell your lovingly crafted wares alongside other quality craft vendors. Vendors are selected to participate based on the quality of their craft and to present a balance of different art types.

Summer Classes
Kids Mountain Biking Summer
Led by Boulder Jr Cycling head coach Lester Pardoe and his staff, this class is designed for beginner and intermediate riders. This class includes instruction on braking, shifting, cornering, balance, drops and step-up, pumping and jumping, challenges, and trail etiquette and riding on local trails. Class begins at the Dirt Bike Park and will move on to local trails. Please come on a ready-to-ride mountain bike, wear a helmet and appropriate footwear, and bring a water bottle. Please make sure your kid's bike is in excellent working order before the first class. Come join in the fun and learn some great skills too!

Square State Skate Summer Lessons
Learn how to safely progress while having fun on your skateboard. We welcome skaters of all ages and skill levels to join us as we work on everything from learning how to stand and roll on your skateboard to challenging yourself with tricks. Build up to advanced park riding as we explore all the different features of the Lyons Skatepark. We will skate together, play some skate-related games, learn about skateboarding history, and enjoy the unique and active skateboarding community. Run by professional educators, SSS is dedicated to helping kids grow both on and off their skateboard. Anyone can learn tricks--we focus on the kids. Please bring a skateboard, helmet, pads (recommended), water bottle, and some good energy.

Summer Camps
Square State Skate Summer Camps
Full Day Camps are designed for skaters with some experience on a board and familiarity with skateparks. Participants will work on everything from skatepark etiquette to navigating parks and learning new tricks. We are a mobile camp and will start and end at the Team Pain-built Lyons Skatepark and visit multiple other parks throughout the week. Come make new friends, have fun, and be a part of our active skateboard community. Please bring the following required gear each day: skateboard, helmet, pads (encouraged), water bottle, sunscreen, and a healthy lunch.

Dates: Monday - Friday, May 29 - June 2 AND/OR July 31 - August 4, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Challenger Soccer Camp
Coached by our team of international and US based staff, our week long half day and full day soccer camps improve your child's skills while providing a unique cultural experience. Camps are designed for all ages and ability levels, from beginner to advanced players. We use age appropriate exercises to help players develop at their own pace, learn brand new skills, and become and all-around better player while emphasizing core values of responsibility, integrity, respect, sportsmanship, and leadership. Come join in on the fun!

Adult Programs
Coed Recreational Softball League
Adult Recreational Softball is back this summer. Get out that old leather glove, grab your teammates, and head out to the fields for some FUN! This summer we'll be offering an 11 week season consisting of 10 weeks of regular games and the final week of championship games. Depending on the number of teams on the schedule, your team may have a by week. A minimum of 6 teams is needed for the league to run. Teams must have 8 - 16 players. Each team must have a minimum of 4 players that identify as female on the roster. No experience is necessary to play. If you are a free agent, we will find a team for you. Players provide all their own gear.
Ages: 16 and up
Dates: Thursdays, June 1 - Aug 10; games at 5:30 or 6:30 pm

Drop In Pickleball
Come get in on the fun! The Multisport Court at Bohn Park is where the action is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all year long. Bring a racquet and a ball if you have one. Open to anyone old enough to play.

Drop In Soccer Games
Join us for some friendly rivalry and fun! These drop in games are strictly for the big kids (teens and adults) and are open to all skill levels. Drop by anytime during the open hours.

Senior Activities
Senior Bus Trip to Colorado Rockies VS Houston Astros
There's nothing more American than baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie so hop on the bus with us and you can enjoy all three! While one of those is in the non-traditional form of Apple Pie Nachos, the baseball and hot dogs are classics. Our driver will drop us at the entrance to make our way to our lovely seats in the shade along the third base line. The cost is $12 and you can drop your payment (checks made out to Town of Lyons) at Town Hall, 432 5th Ave. Don't forget your beer (and lunch and snack) money. We're relaxing and enjoying the game!

Senior Exercise Group
Come join our senior exercise group and have fun and improve your fitness while enjoying stimulating conversation. On Tuesdays we'll do some exercises involving hand weights and bands, along with some low impact aerobics. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit and exercise. On Thursdays we start off with a 30 minute walk. Walkers are encouraged to go at their own pace. All exercises can be modified to accommodate any fitness level. Both classes will end with some gentle stretching. Don't forget to bring a water bottle and you may bring your own hand weights and yoga mat if you prefer. This class is taught by Lisa Ramsey.
Ages: 55 and up
Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 - 10:30 am; No class May 30 and June 1; extra class on May 31 instead
