Water Main PRV Replacment

Water Valve Replacement

Monday and Tuesday, March 15-16

The Town plans to replace one of its 5 large pressure reducing valves on Tuesday Mar 16th.  The valve is located on Fifth Ave. at Bloomfield Alley.  Fifth Ave will be closed during the day on Monday March 15th for prep work and Tuesday Mar 16th for the actual valve change.  There will be no parking on 5th Ave between Bloomfield Alley and High St. on these 2 days as we will need to have large equipment in the area.

Next week, between Mar 9th and Mar 11th the Town will be testing water valves along Fifth Ave and Fourth Ave from Seward Ave, Stickney Ave and Reese St to prepare.   The Town will be working to minimize the area where water will need to be turned off on March 16th.

Water should only be off on Tuesday, March 16th at  8:30 AM until the new valve is in place, hopefully by 1 PM. This water outage will effect residents on Steamboat Valley Rd,  Vasquez, Horizon, Longs Peak and Mountain View. Other residents North of High St., from Fifth Ave to First Ave may experience lower pressure while this valve is being replaced.
