The Town of Lyons and the Lyons' Arts and Humanities Commission (LAHC) invites artists to submit high-quality, original art and sculpture for its newly expanded heARTS of LYONS Outdoor Arts Collection--all over town.

This perennial arts collection is an exciting celebration of art and sculpture displayed outdoors throughout the charming mountain town of Lyons, Colorado. Small but mighty Lyons (population 2000) is an arts-rooted destination noted for its music, artists and beautiful setting in the Rocky Mountains’ foothills. Each year the rare franchise-free charm of Lyons lures thousands of visitors from all over the world to stop and linger on their way to and from Rocky Mountain National Park.

This rotating collection is designed to be a compelling parade of art that escorts travellers through the Town of Lyons while enticing return visits.

Application Fee

Artists/lenders may submit up to three art pieces for consideration per application, for a $30 fee (except Legacy donation submissions, which do not require an application fee). Applications will not be considered complete nor reviewed by the LAHC until the $30 application fee has been paid.

Legacy Donation

If you've opted to permanently donate art to the Town of Lyons, as part of the Legacy Designation program, you do not need to pay the application fee. Your application is deemed complete and a member of the LAHC will be in touch with you shortly. All Legacy pieces will receive a special Legacy Designation plaque, in exchange for honorarium payments.

heARTS of Lyons Application

Upon payment receipt of the application fee (up to three art submissions for $30), your application will be reviewed by the LAHC, and a member of the LAHC will be in contact. Upon approval, LAHC will work with artists/lenders individually, regarding the Public Display of Outdoor Art Agreement signing and next steps.
