Loop Your Own Hoop

Hula Hoop-making class!


Join Lisa Ramsey of the Town of Lyons Recreation department to make and decorate your very own, personally sized hula hoop. All materials provided. 

Ages 7+, or younger with adult supervision 
Two classes offered: July 10 or July 17, at 9:30 a.m. at LaVern Johnson Park 
Cost: $20. 
After class, stay in the park to join in the fun of our new "Hoops and Loops" club!

Circuit Training in Bohn Park 

Mondays, starting at 8 a.m. | Bohn Park


Push yourself to the limit in this fun class amidst a beautiful park setting. Gain overall strength while working different muscle groups. The class consists of 45 minutes of circuit training followed by 10 minutes of stretching. This class is taught by Lisa Ramsey, Town of Lyons Recreation Coordinator and an ACE certified personal trainer. Please bring a water bottle and a yoga mat.

Mondays: 8 a.m.
Age: 15+
Cost: $12 per class drop-in fee, or $40 for 4 classes

Calling all artists! Be a part of the 2019 quarterly Lyons' Town Hall Art Shows! Art of all mediums, by artists of all ages, abilities, and artistic interpretation are invited to be hung in the Shirley F. Johnson Council Chambers for a quarter. Bring your artwork, in accordance with the quarter theme, to Lyons Town Hall on Friday, July 12. Then, all are invited to the new show's opening reception on Saturday, July 13. 

Theme: Wise Eyes

Nod to Sage Wisdom and the Creative Spirit, Born from Age and Experience! Art of all mediums, by artists of all ages, abilities, and artistic interpretation are invited to share what "Wise Eyes" means to you! Deliver "Wise Eyes" hangable creations on Friday, July 12, between 5 and 7 p.m. at Lyons Town Hall. Reservations are not required.

Reception Sponsored by Oskar Blues 

Then, join us on Saturday, July 13, 5:30 to 7 p.m. for the opening reception of the new show. There will be live music and food donated by Oskar Blues, so come hungry and ready for some tunes!

This year's Art at River Bend will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019, along the North Saint Vrain Creek at River Bend. Dozens of artists of all mediums will have work for sale: paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, fiber and more! In addition to the Art & Crafts Sale, Art at River Bend will feature live demos, children's activities, food, libations and more.


Art at River Bend is a collaboration between the Boulder County Arts Alliance and the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission.


Call for Artists

We are looking for ARTISTS and ARTISANS of all mediums who want to staff a booth and sell their work at the event. Acceptances will be made on a rolling basis until filled. Please apply by June 28, to ensure you are included in pre-event publicity.

Summer in Lyons: the air is warm, the creek's flowing, and the Raul Vasquez Stage is rocking at Sandstone Park! The 2019 Sandstone Summer Concert Series take place Thursdays, through August 15 in Sandstone Park, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
