Reels on the River

Sunday, June 9 | 8:30 p.m.

Bring your chairs and blankets and join us for the next Reels on the River outdoor movie, presented by River Cliff Realty and Lyons VIBE! The showing will be the popular film, Monty Python & the Holy Grail. The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. on June 9, at the grass plaza in LaVern Johnson Park.

This is a free event! So join us in welcoming the warm season, with a family night out!

Park Graffiti

There has been a recent influx of graffiti in LaVern M. Johnson Park. The latest event occurred within the last 48 hours, and appears to have been done by younger kids using charcoal. While the markings have since been removed, a significant amount of Town resources went into doing so.

We are asking for everyone's help with this. If you observe activity damaging or compromising the integrity of the park, please report it to the parks hosts - they're here to help. Parents, please remember you are responsible for your children in the park. This is considered defacing public property and is not taken lightly.

We're fortunate to have such beautiful parks in Lyons. As a community, be proud in taking ownership and speaking up when damaging or questionable activity occurs.

Art at River Bend Call to Artists

This year's Art at River Bend will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019, along the North Saint Vrain Creek at River Bend. Dozens of artists of all mediums will have work for sale: paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, fiber and more! In addition to the Art & Crafts Sale, Art at River Bend will feature live demos, children's activities, food, libations and more.

Art at River Bend is a collaboration between the Boulder County Arts Alliance and the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission.

Call for Artists

We are looking for ARTISTS and ARTISANS of all mediums who want to staff a booth and sell their work at the event. Acceptances will be made on a rolling basis until filled. Please apply by June 28, to ensure you are included in pre-event publicity.
