Stormwater Utility Enterprise Fund

After two public hearings, the Board of Trustees approved an ordinance creating the Stormwater Utility as an enterprise fund, and in doing so, set a fixed $10 monthly stormwater management fee. The fee will be charged to each parcel within Town (residential, commercial, etc.), to help support costs operations and maintenance of the storm drainage system, storm drainage capital improvements, and hazard mitigation.

The $10 monthly user fee will be effective beginning March 2018.

EcoPass Program to Continue in 2018!

The Town of Lyons EcoPass program has been renewed for 2018! This program helps support RTD EcoPasses for Lyons residents. There has been a slight increase in the annual fee to $40 per pass (the pass has a retail value of over $2,000). Additionally, there is now a $120 cap per household, meaning if four or more related members of a household apply for an EcoPass, the price will not exceed $120.

The Lyons EcoPass provides residents with free use of any RTD bus and light rail services. This includes the “Y” service from Lyons to Boulder, buses to the airport, and buses and light rail in and around Boulder, Longmont and Denver. Old Man Winter Rally

Volunteers Needed!

The Old Man Winter Rally is returning to Lyons on February 11th, 2018! The race organizers are looking for volunteers to help out at the venue, registration and on the run course. The event will bring in about 1,200 people, and help to raise money for local non-profits.
