Modular Home Placement, Sept. 19

The Public Works Department will be coordinating with CMC Inc. to transport and set a modular home at 231 Park St., on Tuesday, September 19. There will be full and partial road closures with limited access and intermittent power outages throughout the day, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

McConnell Bridge Construction

The construction bid for McConnell Bridge was advertised this week. The Town anticipates to have a contract for Board of Trustees approval on October 16.

The projected timeline calls for the road closure and construction to begin in late October/early November. Stay tuned for updates. 

Flood Recovery Update

The Town is working on a comprehensive update of post-flood projects, as an interactive map and detailed project list. The Town welcomes you to take a look, and check back in for updates!

Slalom Gates at Black Bear Hole

Lyons Kids Kayak Club Training

The Town of Lyons has engaged in and promoted kayaking programs through its Parks and Recreation Department for over a decade, through various programming opportunities and facility development. This has assisted in the development of several local kayaking champions on the local and national scale.

The Lyons Kids Kayak Club has set slalom gates at Black Bear Hole for training purposes, and will be maintaining them throughout fall. Careful measures will be taken to ensure trees are protected when the gates are hung.

Free Mulch

Free mulch is available for residents at the wastewater treatment plant parking area, off 2nd Ave. The Town welcomes people to take as much as needed, but you will need to load it independently.
