Special Municipal Mail Ballot Election

Tuesday, August 8, 2017 

Don't forget to turn in your ballot by tomorrow, August 8, by 7 p.m.!

The Town of Lyons is conducting the August 8, 2017 Planet Bluegrass Farm Annexation Election as a Mail Ballot Election. 
 
Ballots that have not yet been returned must be dropped off at Lyons Town Hall tomorrow, August 8 (Election Day), between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to be counted. 

The Final Documents for the Annexation Election on August 8, 2017 for the Planet Bluegrass Farm Annexation Agreement are available on the Election page.

Bohn Park Progress Tours

Tuesday, August 8 | 4:30 & 5:30 p.m.


Join the project manager for a tour of what's been happening behind the fences at Bohn Park! Project Manager, Dave Fenity will give participants a firsthand look at some of the completed milestones, such as river restoration, ADA fishing jetty, and the new storm water system. Dave will also share information about the project's improved underground infrastructure.
 
The Bohn Park restoration progress tours will be held on Tuesday, August 8, at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

All attendees must wear closed-toe shoes, as it is a working construction site. Attendees should plan for about 45 minutes to walk the site and see some of the new features. Meet by the multi-purpose court (tennis/basketball) off 2nd Ave. at 4:30 or 5:30 p.m. Please park across the street at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.

Limited LaVern M. Johnson Park Access

Monday, August 14 through  August 21 at noon


From Monday, August 14 through Monday, August 21 at noon, LaVern M. Johnson Park will be open only to residents of Lyons and Folks Festival campers with passes. Lyons residents may access LaVern M Johnson Park with proof of residency, and will be limited to foot traffic only - no vehicles. This is per the lease agreement between the Town of Lyons and Planet Bluegrass.

B-Strong Ride

B-Strong Cycling Event

This is a friendly reminder to plan accordingly for large cycling events through Town, and to please be cautious while sharing the road in a vehicle.


On August 12, riders of the 69-mile B-strong ride will be stopping in Sandstone Park as a rest stop after descending Highway 7 from the Peak to Peak Highway. The B Strong Ride celebrates cancer survivors, funds a complete year of cancer care at the Center for Integrative Care at Boulder Community Health and also benefits the George Karl Foundation.
