As part of Colorado Municipal League's Cities and Towns Week, the Town would like to introduce the hard-working Public Works team!
The Town of Lyons Public Works oversees the operation of water, sewer, electric, and streets, including right-of-ways and easements, and additional help at the waste water treatment plant. Outside of business hours, team rotates 24/7 on-call shifts, to be available for Town emergencies around the clock. They manage a fleet of Town trucks and heavy equipment - perhaps you've seen them plowing streets in the winter? When they're not in the field, PW prepares and manages the entire Holiday Light Show and holiday decorations around Town. They work closely with the Parks and Recreation department, for efficient and effective use of resources. These are just a few of the several services Public Works provides throughout the year.
Next time you see them out, tell them thanks!
