Bounded on three sides by the North St. Vrain Creek and sandstone cliffs, LaVern Johnson Park is a community favorite year round. There is an abundance of recreational opportunities which include picnic areas, RV and tent camping, playground area, Lyons Whitewater Park, splash pad, and an ice rink in the winter. Camping fees start at $20 a night for tent sites to $40 a night for RV’s with full hookups. There are 15 RV sites with full hookups and 17 tent sites.
The camping season for RVs runs year round. Also, there are several community events that take place during the summer where camping and shelter reservations may not be available. Beginning in Fall 2017, reservations are available online only.
