Official Communication from the Town of Lyons

Board of Trustees' Affordable Housing Survey

Closing Friday, July 8 at Noon

The Board of Trustees have created a survey to collect information regarding priorities and values toward affordable housing, to help guide decision-making. See statement from the Board of Trustees:

The Town of Lyons is committed to diversifying its housing stock and restoring the affordable housing lost in the 2013 flood. Affordable housing has been identified as a priority in the 2010 Comprehensive Plan and also in the Lyons Recovery Action Plan. “Affordable housing” refers to housing options that people earning less than 80% of the area median income for Boulder County can afford.

This survey is intended to inform the Board of Trustees regarding citizens’ priorities and values toward affordable housing, and about whether to pursue annexation of Town-owned property in the Eastern Corridor. (The Eastern Corridor stretches from McConnell Avenue, east to Highland Drive (located on Highway 66 past the defunct water treatment plant sites), and includes the 85-acre Loukonen property to the southeast, abutting Highway 36.)

All responses to this survey are anonymous and will be reported in summary format. The survey should take about 5 minutes of your time.

Thank you,
The Lyons Board of Trustees
