Limb drop off

Lyons Curb-Side Limb Pick Up 

Monday and Tuesday | November 14 & 15

The Town of Lyons has contracted with Baer Forestry to do an additional limb pick up for residential properties that are less than one acre, on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15.  

Please review the Guidelines
•Branches and limbs ONLY.  No grass, weeds, loose yard waste, or compost. It will not be picked up. 
•No construction debris or treated lumber. No nails or wire in limbs. It will not be picked up.
•Limbs and branches should be placed curbside by 7:00 am on Monday, November 14 in order to be picked up.
•Limbs should be cut as straight as possible. Limbs must be less than 6” diameter and all cuts facing the same direction. 
•Place limbs into stacks. Limbs should be placed off the sidewalk,  Please work to ensure that no obstacles interfere with the pickup of the limb pile by the loader and chipper. Do not park in front of your limb pile. Municipal code prohibits placing items in the street. 
•Limbs will not be collected in alleys. Even if your trash/recycling collection occurs in an alley, you must place limbs curbside in front of your property for pick-up.
•Residential properties only that are less than one acre.

Local Election Results


Voters within the Town of Lyons have approved two local ballot measures regarding an increase in the lodging tax and allowing for arts and cultural facilities to be a permitted use and non-profit facilities to be a conditional use in the parks and open space (POS) zoning district, according to the unofficial results available from the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder. 


Artist Showcase

Saturday, November 12 | 2 - 5 pm


There is a free artist showcase in honor of the life and service of volunteer Firefighter Griffin Ferguson occurring on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the A-Lodge featuring local musicians Joe Kuckla, Charlie Rose, and The River Pigs. Donations are accepted and will be used to help the development and continuation of a First Responder Peer Support Program. For more information visit lyonsfire.org




Fall Street Sweeping

Monday and Tuesday, November 14 and 15

Street sweeping is scheduled to take place for all Town of Lyons streets beginning early on Monday, November 14 between 4-5 a.m. starting on High Street.
The goal for Monday, November 14 is to complete the North side of town in this approximate order of areas (hitting all streets in between) moving West to East.

• Vasquez Ct.
• Vasquez Rd. 
• Horizon Dr.
• Steamboat Valley Road
• 5th Ave.
• 4th Ave.
• 3rd Ave.
• 2nd Ave.
• Mountain View Drive
• 1st Ave
• Kelling Drive

Tuesday, November 15th sweeping will begin on Main Street and Railroad starting early in the morning between 4-5 a.m. then moving to the South side of Town in the following approximate order of areas (hitting all streets in between) moving East to West.   Sweeping should be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 15.

• 3rd Ave.
• 4th Ave.
• Confluence Neighborhood
• Meily St.
• Prospect St.
• Ewald St.
Any assistance from residents in parking off street or moving vehicles and removing debris from the curb would be greatly appreciated while these services are being performed. Contractor will not clean or sweep where items are items obstructing the roadway. Thank you!
Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec 3


The bright glow of the holidays returns for the weekend of December 3rd and 4th in Lyons. Be sure to check out the Lyons Holiday Artisan Market on December 3rd and December 4th from 10 am - 4 pm. There will be visits from Santa Claus  from 2 - 4 pm.  The highlight of the weekend is sure to be the Holiday Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 3rd. The parade begins at 6:30 pm, along Main St (which will be closed for the parade) and will be filled with illuminated, colorful floats, many of which will be decorated in the theme of this year’s parade — “Starry Starry Night”.

The Lyons Flyer just celebrated it's 1,000th rider.

The public transportation system provides service between downtown Lyons at Broadway and 4th into Boulder, along US 36 and traveling south on Broadway within Boulder.  View a detailed route map and list of stops. Riders can also track their bus’s arrival time and location in real-time using Transit App, available for iOS and Android.
