Wapiti 2 Burn at Heil Valley Ranch

Boulder County Parks and Open Space and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Wildland Fire Management Program are conducting the rescheduled Wapiti 2 prescribed burn at Heil Valley Ranch, beginning today, March 16. Smoke will be visible in the area west of North Foothills Highway in between Lefthand Canyon and Lyons.

Heil Valley Ranch will be closed completely during active ignition days. The exact closure dates will be dependent on weather conditions. Specific areas will reopen as soon as it’s deemed safe to do so by fire personnel.
