Helping Our Neighbors

Our hearts are heavy sharing and seeing the impacts from the wildfires which impacted our neighbors with tremendous devastation that swept through our neighboring communities in Boulder County yesterday. As many of us have experienced with the flood, the magnitude of this tragic disaster is both unprecedented and continues to unfold.

We are thankful for the hard work of fire fighters, emergency personnel, law enforcement, local leaders and community members throughout Colorado who have come together to help and support our neighbors who have been impacted in Boulder County.

If you are able to help support those in need with a donation, please visit the Boulder Community Foundation's Wildfire Fund, https://www.coloradogives.org/bouldercountywildfirefund

If you would like to volunteer to help, please visit:

If you can help to host displaced people, please visit:

Where there's people, there is power. Thanks Lyons for all you've done to help our neighbors.

Ice Skating Lessons

Ice Rink Update

Weather Dependent

We continue to wait for longer term colder temps, in order to get the outdoor ice rink ready. While the temperatures have been warm, they don't help for ice skating.

When we do get temperatures cold enough and long enough to make ice, the parks and public works staff will work to set up the rink. At this time, the Town still intends to hold the Winter Wonderland Concert series.

Winter Wonderland Concerts

Winter Wonderland Concerts

The Town of Lyons is planning to host 3 winter concerts with live music in LaVern Johnson Park in January and February. The first concert is scheduled for January 8, from 2 - 4 pm. Mother Nature is not yet cooperating for temperatures to get cold enough for the Parks Staff to set up the ice rink. But there will be music!

Thanks for the generous support from the Lyons Community Foundation for the winter concert series.
