Ice Skating Lessons

Ice Rink Update

Weather Dependent

We are waiting for colder temps, which still are a long way off in order to get the outdoor ice rink ready. While the temperatures have been nice and toasty, they don't help for ice skating.

Currently the 10 day forecast shows warm temperatures.
When we do get temperatures cold enough and long enough to make ice, the parks and public works staff will work to set up the rink.
Thank you for your understanding.

Dog on Leash

Dogs and Leashes

The Town and the Boulder County Animal Control office remind residents to keep your dog on a leash when walking through town, on public streets and the parks. The off-leash dog park is in Bohn Park. Your dog must also be leashed along the path to the dog park. Thank you!

RV Parking Ordinance

NEW!

Effective January 18, 2022,  recreation vehicles, watercraft and trailers in excess of 20 feet in length excluding hitches and  tongues, may not be parked on town streets or right-of-way for periods longer than 72 hours.

Support LEAF

Holiday Giving Drive

You can help ensure every neighbor enjoys holiday meals and a comfortable season, by donating non-perishable food, toiletries, or funds to the Holiday Giving Drive. The Holiday Giving Drive is a collaboration between the Town of Lyons and the Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF), to provide hope and a spirit of community this holiday season.
Donations of non-perishable food, toiletries and funds can be dropped off in the Cookie Monster Donation Bin, located in the front office of Town Hall, during normal office hours (Mon – Fri, 8AM to 4:30PM). The donations will be collected and distributed by LEAF.
If you’d like to learn more about supporting or seeking assistance from LEAF, visit leaflyons.org.

Boulder County and ARPA

The Boulder County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) announced next steps for the process of determining how to best invest federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to address the needs of individuals most impacted by COVID-19.

Three working groups will be created to work from January through March 2022 to identify and recommend project, program, and policy solutions that address the three main challenges identified in phase one of the community engagement process: Economic Challenges, Housing Affordability, and Mental Health and Social Resilience.

Working groups will be comprised of community members, nonprofit leaders, policy experts and county leadership and staff with expertise in the focus areas. Community members with expertise in the focus areas who are interested in applying can do so by Dec. 14 at this link.
