Bohn Park Stormwater ImprovementsClosure began this week! This project entails enlarging the storm detention ponds in Bohn Park and installing new larger storm drain between the ponds as well as their connection to the storm drain system on 2 nd Avenue. The current schedule begins this week and is scheduled to be complete by the end of October. This week crews will begin prepping the area for closures the next week. This includes the construction of a temporary access driveway into the Wastewater Treatment Plant parking lot. The road will be open for Labor Day weekend, but will close again on Tuesday, September 7th for the waterline relocation and storm drain installation under 2 nd Ave will continue for several weeks. Residents in Lyons Valley Park will need to go around the closure (via US-36) and enter over the new 2nd Ave Bridge in order to access the recycling center. School drop off will require using US-36 for those two weeks. This is a storm water project to continue to build Lyons' resiliency.
