2021 Sandstone Summer Concert SeriesBack for Summer 2021 beginning tonight! Town staff has been working on the 2021 Sandstone Summer Concert Series, which will kick off for 7 weeks beginning on Thursday, July 1st at the Raul Vasquez stage in Sandstone Park.
This year the Town has planned a seven week series with all local musicians. The seven-week program runs from weekly on Thursdays, July 1, through August 12, with music starting at 6:30 pm.
If the concert needs to be cancelled due to inclement weather, staff will send out via email, usually within one hour of showtime.
The concerts are free and it’s a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with your neighbors and long-time friends.

Hydrant Testing TodayJuly 1, 2021
Public Works is planning to do some hydrant testing and flushing mid-day, today, Thursday July 1st on Kelling Dr., Longs Peak Dr and 3rd Ave near the intersection with Longs Peak. Residents in those areas may notice low water pressure, discolored water, or no water for short periods of time when flushing is taking place in their neighborhood.
If your water is discolored, please run your cold water until it runs clear. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

In recognition of Independence Day, Town Hall will be closed on Monday, July 5.
The regularly scheduled BOT meeting will be on Tuesday, July 6, beginning at 7 pm. As always, the public is invited to attend. The meetings are public and the agenda is posted online.

2nd Ave Bridge Grand Opening and DedicationThursday, July 8 | 10 amMark your calendars LYONS! One of the final FEMA funded Flood Recovery projects, it will be complete on July 8! The 2nd Ave Bridge will open to the public (and vehicular traffic) on Thursday, July 8.
At this time, we are working out the final details on the program of events, but we have confirmed that Senator Hickenlooper and Congressman Neguse and the Boulder County Commissioners will be attending.

Library and Town Hall Art Show!It's back and in tandem Lyons, July 14
The Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission (LAHC) has partnered with the Lyons Regional Library to host quarterly art exhibitions in tandem with the Quarterly Town Hall Art Shows.
The LAHC is proud to display Sally White King's Bearable Light exhibition for this quarter's Lyons Regional Library Art Show.
In tandem, there will also be a Town Hall Art Show, Bringing Outdoors In & COVID-Wrought Creations. The exhibition is open to area artists of all genres, ages, and abilities. Bring your artwork to display at Town Hall, 432 5th Avenue on Friday, July 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Stage 1 Fire Ban in effectUnincorporated areas of western Boulder County
In the interest of public safety, the Boulder County Sherriff's office has issued Stage 1 Fire Restrictions, effective at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, June 25, for unincorporated areas of western Boulder County, which also coincides with fire restrictions being put in place by the United States Forest Service.
