Artisan and Farmer’s Market

Saturday, June 12, 2021, 9 am to 3 pm

Join us for a day of locally sourced art and gifts along the river! Local artisans will sell quality crafts, jewelry, photography, pottery, glass, and textile arts, along the beautiful South St. Vrain Creek in Bohn Park. This event will also run in conjunction with a Mini Farmer’s Market, and will feature live entertainment.

While perusing local treasures, shoppers can enjoy lovely music by Lyons artist, Dechen Hawk who will be performing from 12 to 3 p.m.

At long last it returns to Lyons for the first time since the flood. Grab your teammates, get out that old leather glove, and get to the ballfields for some exercise and FUN!

Gonzo Tennis Classes
Gonzo Tennis Open House: come meet the instructors and have some fun on the court!
Saturday, June 5, kids from 3 – 4 pm and adults from 4 – 5 pm

Summer Kayak Rentals
Rent a kayak for one month, two months or all summer!
Rentals come with a kayak, paddle, life vest and helmet.

2021 Sandstone Summer Concert Series

Back for Summer 2021!

Town staff has been working on the 2021 Sandstone Summer Concert Series, which will kick off for 7 weeks beginning on Thursday, July 1st at the Raul Vasquez stage in Sandstone Park.

This year the Town has planned a seven week series with all local musicians. The seven-week program runs from weekly on Thursdays, July 1, through August 12, with music starting at 6:30 pm.

The concerts are free and it’s a great way to meet new friends and reconnect with your neighbors and long-time friends.

Wildfire Ash Runoff

We wanted to remind residents that ash runoff from the Calwood Fire Burn Scar has gone into the S St Vrain. While this is a natural occurence after a wildfire, there is still discoloration along the river bank.

First Annual Lyons Garden Tour!

The Lyons Garden Club is pleased to announce its first annual Garden Tour, Mountain Blooms. This event is set for Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The variety of gardens on the tour will offer inspiration to everyone who visits. It’s an opportunity to learn what plants thrive in our climate and explore outstanding creative spaces and gain fun landscaping tips.

Rentals in LaVern Johnson Park

LaVern Johnson Park now has a concessionaire who will be at the park daily to rent tubes, stand up paddle boards, life jackets, river shoes and dry bags.

The contract to offer services was approved by the Lyons Board of Trustees at the April 19, 2021 BOT meeting.

This new service will also have a variety of camping items for sale if you forgot something at home.
