November General Election

What you need to know

All active registered Colorado voters should have received your ballot in the mail.
The deadline for requesting a ballot by mail has passed.

If you still need a ballot (first-time or replacement), you have two options:
1) Register/check your registration online and then request a Ballot-to-Go (curbside/will-call ballot pickup), or
2) If you live within Boulder County, visit a Vote Center to register and get a ballot.

If you live in Larimer County, visit Larimer County Elections.

Since the recommended deadline for mailing your ballot has passed, instead please use a 24-hour drop box. There is a 24-hour drop box is at the main entrance to Town Hall, which faces Park Dr.  All ballots must be deposited by the 7 pm deadline on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3.

Remember, all eligible voters can register and vote up to and including Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. In Lyons, the Lyons Regional Library will be available for in-person voting on Monday, November 2nd from 8 am - 6pm and on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3 from 7 am to 7 pm.

Voting at home and returning your ballot at a 24-hour drop box  is the safest and easiest way to participate and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Safe Driving Reminders

Sheriff's Office Reminders

Streets and Schools

Our local officers and the Town would like to remind residents about the rules regarding speeding and parking in Town. Now that school is OFFICIALLY back in session, it's a good reminder for everyone to practice safe driving.

Lyons Middle/Senior High School
The parking lot is under construction and there is very limited parking for students and for staff near the school. The school requests your help by NOT parking at the school to go to the dog park or for biking/hiking access during school hours, Monday - Friday.

The speed along McConnell and near the high school is 20 MPH. Remember, twenty is plenty!

Parking Reminders - for all areas of Town
Please be courteous to your neighbors with these important reminders:

No Parking
on any bridge
within 5’ of a private or public driveway
within 15’ of a fire hydrant
within 20’ of crosswalk or intersection
within 30’ of any traffic control device - including all stop signs

or where yellow or red curb markings prohibit parking

Thanks for your effort to keep Lyons safe for pedestrians, cyclists, dogs, golf carts and drivers!

High Street Stormwater Improvements Project

The High Street Stormwater Improvement project began October 12! This project entails installing new storm drain along High Street between 5th Ave. and 4th Ave., and will continue down 4th Ave. from High Street to Main street. Also included will be a new concrete sidewalk being constructed on High Street, between 5th Ave. and 4th Ave. Once these items are complete, the roadway will be reconstructed on the eastbound lane of High Street and the southbound lane on 4th Ave.

Traffic Impacts
The eastbound lane of High Street between 5th and 4th and southbound lane of 4th Ave between High Street and Main street will be closed until the end of November. On street parking on the southside of High Street and westside of 4th in these areas will not be available during this project. Business accesses will be maintained throughout the project with day to day closures to complete the work as needed. Detours will be signed so that traffic can keep moving around these areas. Pedestrian traffic will be allowed to access the businesses.

Safety concerns
This project will have open trenches while they install the new storm drain, so please avoid getting close to these areas. As with any construction project, there are safety concerns with equipment and trucks working; please give them space to work and do not impede their work space for your safety.

Visit townoflyons.com/HighStreet for more information and weekly project updates.
