Town Offices Closed for Labor Day

The Town of Lyons offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. Town facilities will resume normal operating hours Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Scrap Metal & Block Styrofoam

Wednesday, September 9

Lyons Volunteers have planned the next scrap metal/block Styrofoam pick up for Wednesday, September 9. If you have items for pickup, please fill out the request form by 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, and include an idea of how much material you have. The Volunteers generally acknowledge receipt of requests and confirm a window of when they will be there to pick up the items.

On the morning of the pickup, please put the material in plain view, for quick access to the volunteers.

Lyons Volunteers is now a program of Lyons Emergency Assistance Fund (LEAF); if you wish to make a donation, please direct it to LEAF.

Lyons Film Festival

VIRTUAL FUN IN THE FALL IN LYONS

As part of the Lyons International Film Festival, the Colorado Festival Productions team is offering a complimentary intro viewing of the Lyons Film Festival for Lyons locals at the Lyons Den, on Friday September 25, from 5 pm to 7 pm.

It will be outdoors and is open to all ages. Per State and County health guidelines, guest capacity will be limited to 50.

The Lyons International Film Festival will premiere virtually the weekend of October 3. Virtual online tickets are on sale now for the full film festival program.

Lyons Community Foundation

Grant Applications Available Now

The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is pleased to announce their 13th Annual Community Support granting season. Applications for Community Support Grants are available online now and are due September 11, 2020. These grants are available only once per year and must be applied for at this time. Electronic submissions are required; granting information and applications are available at lyonscf.org.

Maybe you're great with numbers or budgets. Or more interested in preserving Lyons history. Joining a board or commission is a great way to become involved and help shape the decisions made in your community. There are currently vacancies on several different commissions.
To apply for an Advisory Board or Commission position, please complete the online Application. Your application will be sent to the mayor, who will follow up with you directly.

Board of Trustees Meetings Online

The Board of Trustees meets on the first and third Monday of each month. The current meetings are also livestreamed.

Due to COVID-19, Board of Trustees and Planning and Community Development Commission (PCDC) Meetings are held remotely as a 'virtual' Town Hall, via an online platform.

Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting virtually, via Zoom, can get the meeting information in the Board meeting packet and follow the log in instructions in the header.
