Gradual Reopening

Parks Gradual Reopening

Beginning this week

As the weather warms and local, county, and state officials permit gradual reopening, we welcome the public back into the parks! Beginning this week, Bohn and LaVern Johnson Parks will open to 50% capacity, with limited parking and tent camping available.

If you plan to visit any of Lyons' parks or public areas, COVID-19 safety regulations are still in effect. We appreciate all park visitors' continued cooperation with:

  • Wearing masks
  • Keeping a safe distance from others (at least six feet)
  • Washing hands often
Parents: the state's provisions on reopening playgrounds require only 10 people or less at a time. Please ensure kids are taking turns and doing their part in keeping our community safe.

Lyons Town Hall

Town Hall Hours

Gradual reopening, beginning this week

Beginning this week, Town Hall will begin a gradual reopening of certain facilities and in-person services. Members of the public will be allowed access to Town Hall reception and other services, Monday through Thursdays. Only one person at a time may be in the reception area, and the door will continue to be locked; visitors are to use the doorbell system to request entry to Town Hall. The public must make appointments to meet any Town staff other than reception; drop-ins will not be permitted. Town Staff will meet the scheduled appointments outside.
