Milling and Paving Project
Begins May 11

Milling and Paving

2nd Ave and McConnell

The Milling on 2nd Ave and McConnell began earlier this week. Paving is scheduled to begin Friday, May 15, and be completed in the next week, weather dependent. Per Town code, crews are authorized to work between 7 am and 7 pm daily. During this time, traffic will be limited to local traffic only and may experience delays of 20-30 minutes. There will be flaggers to maintain local access, but there will be wait times as the paving operation passes through the access points.

If you live along 2nd Ave. and have concerns about the 20- to 30-minute delay, we recommend you park your car outside of the paving area, so you may easily leave in your vehicle, between 7 am and 7 pm.  Suggestions for parking include McConnell Dr. (northwest of the paving towards the Middle/Senior High School) or in the Waste Water Treatment Plant parking lot.

If there is a weather delay, the Town will send a new update.

Upon finishing these two streets, the crew will move to 4th and Evans curve.
All of this work is part of a large, grant funded flood recovery project will be phased and is scheduled thru July 31.

Bohn Park Phase II

Bohn Park Phase II Updates

Work continues in Bohn Park Phase II. The contractor has begun work for the intake, wells and pump house for the Project. You may notice that a portion of the trail is closed along the river, while there is big equipment in the river and along the trail. Residents are asked to follow the detour into the parking lot. In addition, the fencing for the baseball/softball fields has been placed and the pavilion is 90% complete. Soon more landscaping will begin along with work on the walking trails.
Bohn Park Phase II is expected to be under construction through the summer.

Spring Run Off

The health and safety of our residents remains the top concern of the Town. During the springtime as the snow in the mountains begin to melt, residents often ask about river levels and the St Vrain Creek with spring run off. You can view the daily flow from the State of Colorado, Division of Water Resources.
