Interested in serving on a Board or Commission?

Joining a board or commission is a great way to become involved in the Lyons community and help shape the decisions made in your community.
Currently there are vacancies for the Board of Adjustments, Ecology Advisory Board, Economic Vitality Commission, Housing and Human Services Commission, Planning and Community Development Commission and the Sustainable Futures Commission.
Per the Lyons Municipal Code, members of the Board of Adjustments and the Planning and Community Development Commission must have lived in Lyons for at least one year.

Lyons Volunteers Styrofoam and Scrap Metal

Lyons Volunteers have planned a scrap metal and #6 block styrofoam pick up for Wednesday, weather permitting. The helpful volunteers would appreciate it if you'd fill out their form if you have items for the pick up.

Did you know they picked up 6160 POUNDS of scrap metal in Lyons in 2019? And saved 26 CUBIC YARDS of block styrofoam from the landfill? Thanks Lyons Volunteers. We "heart" you!

State Highway 66 Natural Gas Line Replacement

Construction along SH-66

Xcel Energy is replacing/upgrading their natural gas line along the right of way on State Highway 66 as you travel westbound towards Lyons. As this is a State Highway, all permits and notifications are with CDOT.
