Pay-As-You-Throw Informational Meetings

Thursday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 26 | 6 to 7 p.m. | Lyons Town Hall


On Thursday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 26, members of the Sustainable Futures Commission will be holding informational meetings on the proposed pay-as-you-throw model. Both meetings will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at Town Hall. 

The Board of Trustees will be interviewing the two waste hauling companies that submitted bids at the December 2, 2019 Board of Trustees workshop, beginning at 5:30 p.m. 

Longs Peak Drive


In planning for future sewer and infrastructure improvements, Topographic Land Surveyors will be performing survey work on Longs Peak Drive, beginning the week of November 25. Please be cautious of the crew while driving along this road.

Western Disposal reported a total of 4.33 tons of leaves were sent to compost, at last weekend's leaf collection event! Thanks to all who participated!


Habitat for Humanity

Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity


Join Habitat for Humanity to help finish building two homes in Lyons. Your volunteer service will mean security, stability and belonging for two Lyons families! No experience is necessary, and you’ll learn something new. Tasks vary based on the stage of construction, including but not limited to: Framing, Siding, Insulation, Drywall Installation, Painting and Finish work, and Landscaping. Groups and individuals welcome.

The bright glow of the holidays is once again coming to Lyons on December 7! The annual Holiday Parade of Lights is an exciting community tradition, which includes music, fireworks, and a stunning parade through town.The parade kicks off at 6:30 p.m., followed by the fireworks display, beginning at 7:40 p.m.

We Appreciate Your Support!

This staple event aims to strengthen community and inspire togetherness, and we're asking for your help. It is in huge thanks to generous donors that this spectacular event remains just that. All donations directly support the costs of the parade and fireworks show - a production exceeding $8,500 annually. We thank you in advance for your contribution toward continuing this special Lyons tradition for years to come.
