Rumble Strips ConstructionBeginning October 7On October 7, rumble strip construction is scheduled to begin along US-36, in Larimer and Boulder counties. The work will include installation of center line rumble strips and restriping all existing center lines from Estes Park to north Boulder, with the exclusion of the Town of Lyons (limits).
Motorists can expect 5- to 10-minute delays during construction. The project's normal working hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will take approximately two weeks to complete.
Rumble strips are an effective measure of reducing head-on collisions, cross-over crashes, and run-off-the-road crashes. CDOT's Rumble Strip Installation Project >>
