Throughout the week, NLine will be trimming trees along powerlines, on Town-owned property north of Main Street, including streets, alleys, and other right-of-ways. Please use caution and give the tree-trimmers ample space when passing.

Steamboat Valley, Vasquez, and Horizon


On Saturday, Sept. 28, crack-sealing will continue on Steamboat Valley Road, Vasquez Court & Road, and Horizon Drive. The contractor will also be returning to Stone Canyon on the same day, to complete the work from the previous week.

Please avoid parking vehicles along these streets during this time.

The Lyons Ecology Advisory Board is offering a free movie Friday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at Stonebridge Farm. “The Biggest Little Farm” chronicles a city couple’s 8-year efforts to uncover a design for farming and living. The movie provides a vital blueprint for better living and a healthier planet.
Stonebridge Farm is located at 5169 Ute Highway (just past the Cemex overhead tunnel, on the left). Light refreshments will be served, and there will be an opportunity for discussion following the movie.

Saturday, Sept. 28 | 8 a.m. to noon


The Lyons 9Health Fair will take place on Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. until noon, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 2nd Ave.

The Lyons 9 Health Fair offers a variety of free health screenings including, blood chemistry, body in balance, breast and PAP exams, flu shots (some are free if you qualify, others will be billed to your insurance), blood pressure, vision, dental, hand screening, hearing, skin, stress management screenings and more! We will also have representatives to assess correct child car-seat placement.

Alzheimer's Community Forum

Monday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. | Walt Self Center


On Monday, Sept. 30, join the Alzheimer's Association to learn about Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss. Bring a friend who has been affected by the disease. Share your thoughts about how we can help people in your community.
