St. Vrain InvitationalFriday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21 On Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21, Lyons will host the annual St. Vrain Cross Country Invitational. With 68 teams and over 2,300 participants, organizers anticipate this year's event will bigger than it has been the last few years.
While participants and spectators are asked to carpool, residents in the vicinity of the school may experience a considerable amount of vehicles parked along neighborhood roads. We thank all residents for their patience and understanding during the event.

Lyons Fire: Wilderness EMR Training Saturday, Sept. 21 The Lyons Fire Protection District will be doing a Wilderness First Responder classes and scenarios on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Station 2. The training will include an Airlink medical helicopter landing. All drills will be on foot (no vehicles involved).

9Health FairSaturday, Sept. 28 | 8 a.m. to noon The Lyons 9Health Fair will take place on Saturday, September 28, from 8 a.m. until noon, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 2nd Ave.
The Lyons 9 Health Fair offers a variety of free health screenings including, blood chemistry, body in balance, breast and PAP exams, flu shots (some are free if you qualify, others will be billed to your insurance), blood pressure, vision, dental, hand screening, hearing, skin, stress management screenings and more! We will also have representatives to assess correct child car-seat placement.

Bell of RenewalExtended DeadlineThe Lyons Arts & Humanities Commission (LAHC) seeks your support for the construction of a unique public art piece, "Bell of Renewal," designed to symbolize community resiliency and commemorate Lyons Strong. The piece is currently underway by Colorado-based artists, James G. Moore and Anita Miller, and anticipated to be complete in Fall 2019. The sculpture will be installed along the river, in an appropriate, safe, and enduring location within Lyons.
Now, we're asking for your help! The LAHC is calling on the community for donations to bring this artwork to completion.
With a donation of $250 donation or more, your name or company name will be added to a bronze plaque posted near the artwork. The deadline is September 30, 2019 to have your name listed on the plaque. All donations are welcome and tax deductible, and will be used for materials or associated placement costs.

State Highway 66 Access Control Plan Public Information Session
Thursday, September 26 | 4:30 p.m. | Longs Peak Middle School The Town of Lyons and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) are hosting a public information session for the draft State Highway (SH) 66 Access Control Plan (ACP). CDOT will give a brief overview of the plan, successes it has had with other ACPs, the SH 66 ACP Intergovernmental Agreement and the agreement amendment process.
The public information session the following week Thursday, September 26, from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at Longs Peak Middle School (1500 14th Avenue, Longmont, CO 80501).
