Red Flag Warning, No Open Burning

Wednesday, August 28

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas of Boulder County for tomorrow, August 28. This means that Open Burning is PROHIBITED in the Town of Lyons and all unincorporated parts of the County. This will be in effect for the entire day.

A Red Flag Warning means critical fire weather conditions are occurring in the short-term forecast. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
