Vacancy on the Town of Lyons Board of TrusteesInterested Residents May Apply Trustee Juli Waugh has resigned from the Board of Trustees, effective May 31, 2019.Pursuant to Section 2-2-20 of the Lyons Municipal Code, the Board of Trustees has the power, by appointment, to fill a vacancy in the Board of Trustees until the next regular election.
The Mayor and the Board of Trustees encourage any town resident interested in serving to submit their application for consideration. In order to serve on the Lyons Board of Trustees, you must reside within the Town of Lyons limits, and have been a resident for at least the past 12 months. To be considered, applications must be submitted before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019. The current Board intends to consider candidates and appoint a replacement at the June 17, 2019 meeting. Ideally, the newly appointed trustee will be sworn in at the July 1, 2019 meeting and serve through the end of the term, which runs until the April 2020 election. Submit your application to serve |
