The project scope of work includes a new 4” sewer force main, lift station, water service lines, and pressure reducing valves. The project will take place entirely within the Town Right-Of-Way and construction activities are anticipated to begin Wednesday May 22, 2019 and will complete by December 31, 2019. During construction the activities expected are surveying and staking, directional pipe boring, open-cut excavation, heavy truck traffic, and material deliveries.

Pipeline Relocation along Apple Valley Road

The City of Longmont and Town of Lyons will relocate their existing water lines from the North St Vrain Creek corridor to Apple Valley Road beginning in mid-June 2019 with work expected to continue through the fall and winter of 2019. Both pipelines are used to provide drinking water to Lyons and to residents along Apple Valley Road.  Currently, the existing pipelines are within the floodplain or floodway of the North St. Vrain Creek and run along or cross the creek. The relocation of these lines will reduce the risk of damage and loss of water service from future natural disasters, including floods.
