Bohn Park Project Update

Phase II

Skatepark Construction
Skatepark construction

As the Bohn Park Recovery Project progresses, please remember to stay out of the enclosed vicinity, as it is an active construction site.

Bohn Park Phase II construction is anticipated to continue through late October. Over the course of the next several weeks, the Phase II contractor will be reconstructing the east side trail connection, from the Bohn Park 2nd Ave. entrance to the dog park. During this time, there will be different closures along sections of the east trail. The dog park, multipurpose field, and dirt jump bike park will be accessible from the outlot near Welch Dr., and/or along the trail between Lyons Middle/Senior High and Welch Dr.

In addition, there are elements of the Phase II project that still need to be completed within the completed Phase I project area, including a pumphouse and intake for irrigation, which will impact use

Skatepark construction is also underway; however, it won't be available for use until final completion of Phase II, which is currently slated for late October.

The Town and its contractors ask for the public's assistance to be mindful of active construction sites and associated closures. Please stay out of all construction areas.

Lyons Valley River Park Update

The contractors and the Town request your continued cooperation to stay out of the park, until the project is complete. Landscaping will begin later this month, and machinery will still be present to move boulders and rocks.

The following criteria must be met, to be eligible for the curbside limb pickup in June:

  1. Chippable limbs only -- limbs and brush. No grass, loose yard waste, compost.
  2. Limbs must be less than 6" diameter, ideally, closer to 3" (baseball width).

Street Sweeping

To begin Monday, May 13

Town-wide street sweeping is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 13, and is anticipated to continue through the week. The route will follow the Town's snow priority schedule. The sweeping may kick up dust, so we recommend closing street-facing windows during the day.

Please do not park vehicles along these roads during sweeping.

We appreciate your help!
