Opening Reception Sponsored by Oskar Blues


Calling all artists! Be a part of the 2019 quarterly Lyons' Town Hall Art Shows! Art of all mediums, by artists of all ages, abilities, and artistic interpretation are invited to be hung in the Shirley F. Johnson Council Chambers for a quarter. Bring your artwork, in accordance with the quarter theme, to Lyons Town Hall on Friday, April 5. Then, all are invited to the new show's opening reception on Saturday, April 6. 

Theme: ROCK, RAM, RUN

Play with innuendos, interpretations, double meanings, and plays on words! Art of all mediums, by artists of all ages, abilities, and artistic interpretation are invited to share what "Rock, Ram, Run" means to you! Deliver "Rock, Ram, Run" hangable creations on Friday, April 5, between 5 and 7 p.m. at Lyons Town Hall. Reservations are not required.

Reception Sponsored by Oskar Blues 

Then, join us on Saturday, April 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m. for the opening reception of the new show. There will be live music and food donated by Oskar Blues, so come hungry and ready for some tunes!

Legislative Town Hall Forum: Reception and Q&A

Join U.S. Congressman Joe Neguse, State Senator Steve Fenberg, and State Representative Jonathan Singer for a Legislative Reception and Q&A. The forum will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Oskar Blues.

Lyons International Film Festival

Lyons International Film Festival
The 5th Annual Lyons International Film Festival is Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., at Rogers Hall. This year's films are devoted to those who love nature, the outdoors and connecting to others. The film festival has a mixture of documentaries and fun stories, including stories about resilience, the individualist, the trailblazer, and those who take the road less traveled; the films were selected with the Lyons in mind. Filmmakers from all over the world will be traveling to Lyons to represent their film.

Tickets are on sale now via www.coloradofests.com. An all-day pass to all the films is $25, and tickets to the individual blocks are $10.


Habitat for Humanity's 99 & 100 Homes Dedication

Habitat for Humanity's 99 & 100 Homes Dedication
Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley invites the community to celebrate their 99th and 100th Home Dedication. The event will take place on Sunday, April 7, from 4 to 5 p.m., at the site of the homes, 112 Park Street.

Please do not park on Park Street for this event; attendees are welcome to park along Railroad Avenue, 2nd Avenue, or the Black Bear Hole lot instead.

Spring Clean RecycleMAYnia

This year, the Sustainable Futures Commission is sponsoring the Lyons RecycleMAYnia Spring Clean.The RecycleMAYnia Spring Clean annual cleanup day is at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Saturday, May 18.

On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the Lyons area cleanup day will take place at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 198 2nd Avenue, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. This year, Lyons utility bills are not necessary to participate - area residents are welcome to bring items for recycling, donation, and disposal. The goal of this event is reduce landfill items by providing responsible disposal of items that otherwise could not be recycled locally.

Please join us in these reducing, reusing, and recycling efforts, as we strive toward a more sustainable Lyons!
