The bright glow of the holidays is once again coming to the Town of Lyons on December 1!
The weekend of holiday festivities kick-off with the Lyons Holiday Bazaar, on December 1, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and December 2, from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. The highlight of the weekend is sure to be the Holiday Parade of Lights on Saturday, December 1.
The parade will start at 6:30 p.m., and be filled with illuminated, colorful floats -- many of which will be decorated in the theme of this year’s parade, Rocky Mountain Holidays!
Live music and entertainment will follow the parade, along with one of the regions only fireworks display occurring that weekend!

Parking and Traffic Impacts
The parade will route through Main Street, a portion of Hwy 7, Broadway and exiting onto 3rd Avenue. Cars will not be permitted to park on these roads between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Vehicles may be towed at owner’s expense if parked in a no parking parade route area between these times.
Parking will be available in Bohn Park, Railroad Ave., and side streets on the north end of town. Please note LaVern Johnson Park will not be accessible for spectating or parking. Spectators should view the parade from the sidewalk areas and should not be in the street while the parade is in session.
The staging area, downtown area, and parade routes will impede traffic and cause delays for motorists. Those in town may not be able to exit until parade has completed. Staging for the parade entries will take place on 2nd Ave. between Railroad and Park, on Evans between 2nd and 3rd Ave., and on Hwy 66 between 2nd Ave. and Park St.
