Cross Country Regional Meet

Thursday, Oct. 18

On Thursday, October 18, Lyons Middle/Senior High will host the 2018 Cross Country Regionals. Races are scheduled to begin every 30 minutes, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Due to limited availability, visitor parking will likely extend into the neighborhoods along McConnell and Welch Drives. We anticipate minimal impact to neighborhoods, as the majority of the event occurs during normal work hours and on a staggered race schedule. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Upcoming Road Closures: Railroad Ave. and 4th Ave.

Expected to begin on Oct. 22

As construction on the Lyons Regional Library building continues, closures along adjacent roads are scheduled to occur throughout the last few weeks of October. Beginning Monday, October 22, the north side of Railroad Avenue, between 4th and 5th Avenues, will be open to only one lane for westbound traffic - Railroad Ave. will be closed to all eastbound traffic (from 5th Ave./Hwy 7). In addition, 4th Avenue, between Broadway and Railroad Ave., will experience intermittent lane closures and traffic flagging. This eastbound closure on Railroad is anticipated to run through the week of October 22.

Upon reopening both lanes of Railroad Ave, then 4th Ave, between Broadway and Railroad, will be closed to all traffic, for approximately one week.

All dates and time periods are subject to weather and concurrent construction, and may change at any time.
