2018 Burning Can at Lyons Outdoor Games

Burning Can Fest at Lyons Outdoor Games

This Saturday, June 2 | Bohn Park

This year's events include the La Sportiva Trail Run Relay, BMX/Dirt Jump competitions, a slalom kayak competition, "Dock Dogs" dog-jumping contests, yoga, cornhole, and disc golf!

Burning Can Fest at the Lyons Outdoor Games features participant and spectator sport competitions that include adventure sports, trail running, biking, yoga, a kids’ zone, 70+ craft breweries at Burning Can, plus Colorado craft cuisine from popular local vendors.

Ticket holders can watch world-class athletes competing in both open and professional competitions. The day's line-up includes BMX/Dirt Jump competitions and Slalom Kayak Competition. The festival’s quirky side shines through with features like “Dock Dogs” dog jumping contests, yoga sessions, a cornhole tournament, and a disc golf tournament.

Want in on the action? The La Sportiva Trail Run Relay is a fun-focused team trail running race along the single track trail in the foothills of Lyons. There is even a ‘Beer Relay’ category for runners to drink a beer before each lap. Runners complete as many 5K laps as possible within the four-hour period, and cheers each other post-race with Oskar Blues beers to celebrate the adventure.

The music and dance vibes will be in full effect with three music headliners: alternative country band Son Volt, rock-n-roll band The Sheepdogs and alternative rock band Mo Lowda & The Humble.
