This year make sure you are prepared for a Halloween treat when Main St closes Saturday for the annual Spooktacular Parade, followed by Trick or Treat for young ghouls and goblins!
For more than thirty years, families, friends and businesses have celebrated Halloween with a parade, followed by trick-or-treating along Main Street, as local businesses open their doors with plenty of treats for children.
New this year! All Spooktacular festivities will start at Lyons Elementary School east playground. Lyons Halloween Spooktacular features activities including music, Bongo the Balloon Man, tricks and treats for ghouls and goblins, and eerie games and activities, all leading up to the parade through Town. All are welcome to be apart of the parade! The parade lineup will begin at 5:45 p.m., on 3rd and High St. in front of the elementary school; the parade will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
Parking closures on Main St go into effect beginning at 4 pm, Saturday October 28. During the closure, traffic will detour along Broadway, which will temporarily have traffic in both directions. At the conclusion of the event, Main St will reopen as soon as safely possible. Due to the high volume of pedestrians including many children, please be patient, alert and follow signs and closures.
Join us for a spooky night in Lyons - a good time will behead by all!!
