McConnell Bridge Road Closure

McConnell Bridge Closure

Beginning November 2017

The McConnell Bridge Replacement Construction Project is expected to begin in November. The bridge and access will be closed during the construction which is expected to last through June.
Detours will be along 2nd Ave.

2nd Avenue Grading

In preparation for the McConnell Bridge closure, grading will take place on 2nd Ave., in the upcoming weeks. 2nd Ave. should remain accessible during the grading.

These improvements will help sustain the road's durability, in anticipation of increased traffic due to the McConnell Bridge closure.

CDOT US-36 Road Work

Week of October 23

CDOT’s US-36 pavement project through Lyons continues next week.  Striping is currently planned for the week of October 23rd.
Upon that completion, crews will be replacing a storm drain in the town of Lyons crossing SH 7.  This work will take approximately 5 days with single lane closures on SH 7 each day. All of the construction plans are contingent upon weather.

CDOT and the contractors are empathetic to the construction fatigue that many in Boulder and Larimer County are feeling post-flood.  Every route has work occurring and at this time of year contractors are racing the clock to get paving done before the temperatures drop and get projects buttoned up.
