Stoked.

The Town of Lyons is excited to partner with Oskar Blues Brewery, to host the 2017 Burning Can Beer Festival at Lyons Outdoor Games, taking place this Saturday, June 3, 2017. A celebration of an adventurous lifestyle and craft beer in a can, the Burning Can Fest at Lyons Outdoor Games combines venturesome outdoor sports, beer and live music. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Proceeds benefit the Town of Lyons and CAN’d Aid, which raised nearly $750K and granted funds to 425 families and small businesses in need after the 2013 flood.

Local

The Town is excited to host another year of the Lyons Outdoor Games and Burning Can Festival; however, it's understood that an event of this capacity may cause unanticipated interruptions. Town Staff and the event's production team strive to make it as accommodating to local residents as possible. In an effort to avoid potential inconveniences, please consider the following in regard to the weekend's event:

Traffic
Residents will likely experience heavy traffic along McConnell Drive, Welch Drive and 2nd Avenue, throughout Saturday. Lyons residents attending the event are encouraged to walk or cycle, to help lessen vehicle traffic. Extra duty Boulder County Sheriff Officers will be onsite Saturday.

Bohn Park and Dog Park
Both gates (north and south) of the dog park will be open from  9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of the Trail Run Relay. Dog park users are encouraged to avoid Lyons' dog park during the day of the event. While the trail around Bohn Park will be open to the public, the majority of the park will be accessible only to ticket-holders. Please be mindful of the heavy usage and possible barricades throughout Bohn Park on Saturday.

Volunteer!

Lyons Outdoor Games couldn't happen without the community's help!

The Lyons Outdoor Games is a volunteer-driven event, with deep tradition in community involvement. This event couldn't happen without the team of volunteers! All volunteers will receive free general admission, a volunteer T-shirt, free lunch, and a swag bag filled with sponsor goodies!

EcoCycle will donate $10 to the Lyons Volunteers, for every hour a volunteer works the “Zero Waste” category, when Lyons Volunteers is listed as the organization the individual is volunteering on behalf. In other words, if you’re going to volunteer for a “Zero Waste” shift, please consider listing Lyons Volunteers as the organization you’re volunteering on behalf of, and EcoCycle will donate $30 to the Lyons Volunteers, for your 3-hour shift!
