Spooktacular Returns!

SATURDAY,  OCTOBER 26th  4 - 7 PM


The Lyons Spooktacular parade and kids events are planned for Saturday, Oct 26, 2024 at the Lyons Elementary School and along Main Street.

Important times!
4 pm - 5:30 pm Kids activities and games will start at 4 pm at the Lyons Elementary School.
5:30 pm Lyons Elementary School Show Choir will perform at the Lyons Elementary School Playground
5:45 pm - Line up for the parade 
6 pm - Parade along Main St starts promptly 
6:30 - 7 pm Trick or Treat at the businesses will be after the parade finishes

4:30 pm Don't forget the Chili Cook-off at 4:30 pm at Main Stage Brewing, brought to you by the Lyons Garden Club. .

Don't forget neighborhood Trick or Treating will be on Halloween, Thursday, October 31.

Hello Lyons. Quick reminder that there will be a limb drop off event at the Public Works Facility, 4687 Ute Highway, brought to you by the Lyons Fire Protection District and Boulder County Wildfire Partners.

State Softball Tournament Send OFF

Friday, October 25th  7:30 am


The Lyons high school softball team is headed to the Softball State Tournament Friday morning and the community will be "sending them off" in true Lyons fashion! For those that are new to our community, this means that our first responders will escort the team bus out from the parking lot and students and parents will line McConnell Drive in front of the school to cheer on the team and wish them good luck as they head out.
The send off will be between 7:30a-7:45a so they can make it to Aurora for their first game at 10AM. Join the school for the send-off and if you live near the school in Lyons, you may hear sirens that morning. Thank you for all of your support! GO LIONS!.

Improving pedestrian safety continues to be a priority for the Town of Lyons. While the Town is only 1.3 square miles, we are intersected by US-36 and also have SH-7 and SH-66 which go through our small town.

This federally funded safety project seeks to identify, understand, and reflect the community’s needs and desires for safer streets and access within Lyons, including improvements to traffic operations, pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure, lighting, access to schools and businesses, parking, and streetscape design.

The Town would like to know the specific areas of concern related to pedestrian safety and our roadways.  Last chance to share your feedback! The survey will close on Monday, October 28.  Learn more about the project and give your input via a short survey today.

Library Book Sale

Library Annual Book Sale 

Friday and Saturday, Oct 25 & 26


The Friends of the Lyons Community Library Annual Book Sale is just around the corner. The sale will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The annual sale is the Friends’ largest fundraising event. The books are sorted by category and offered at bargain prices to the entire community. Offerings include adult and children’s fiction, nonfiction, rare books, cookbooks, mysteries, craft and do it yourself books and many more. Books will be arranged on tables by categories. By purchasing gently used books you are helping support library programming and events.
