Tubing Ban in Effect

In the interest of public safety, The North Saint Vrain and Saint Vrain Creek will be closed to tubing and single chamber flotation devices for the immediate future.

The closure will take effect today June 7, 2024 at noon.  The closure encompasses the North Saint Vrain and Saint Vrain Creeks from Apple Valley Road/ County Road 71 to North Foothills Highway including the St Vrain through the Town of Lyons. Sheriff's deputies will be posting notices, advising recreationists of the closure. 

 The sheriff is authorized to close waterways under Colorado Revised Statute (C.R.S.) 33-13-110(2)(c). Violations of the closure are a civil infraction and will result in a $100.00 fine.
