Limb Pick up July 17 and July 18

Curbside Tree Limb Pickup 

Monday, July 17th and Tuesday July 18th 


The Town of Lyons has contracted with Baer Forestry to do a limb pick up for residential properties that are less than one acre, on Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18, 2023.  

Please review the Guidelines: 

•Branches and limbs ONLY.  No grass, weeds, loose yard waste, or compost. It will not be picked up. 
•No construction debris or treated lumber. No nails or wire in limbs. It will not be picked up.
•Limbs and branches should be placed curbside by 7:00 am on Monday, July 17 in order to be picked up.
•Limbs should be cut as straight as possible. Limbs must be less than 6” diameter and all cuts facing the same direction. 
•Place limbs into stacks. Limbs should be placed off the sidewalk,  Please work to ensure that no obstacles interfere with the pickup of the limb pile by the loader and chipper. Do not park in front of your limb pile. Municipal code prohibits placing items in the street.

•Limbs will not be collected in alleys. Even if your trash/recycling collection occurs in an alley, you must place limbs curbside in front of your property for pick-up.
•Residential properties only in town limits that are less than one acre.




Summer Concert Series

Sandstone Summer Concert Series 

Each Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
All summer through August 16

Join your neighbors and friends for the Sandstone Summer Concert Series. Next up is the Lionel Young Band with Erica Brown, on Wednesday, July 19. One of Denver's finest blues vocalist, Erica Brown will join the band. Lionel is also the only one to win the Memphis International Blues contest both as a band and as a soloist in over 50 years. It's sure to be a great concert, with lots of fun and dancing! Grab your friends, neighbors and family and come on out and celebrate summer!

Pancake Breakfast Sunday, July 23


Join the Lyons Fire Protection District for a community pancake breakfast on July 23 from 9 am - 11 am at the Main Fire Station, 251 Broadway (near the Post Office). There will updates from Chief Zick and live music with Charlie Rose. Come out and get some pancakes Lyons!

Lyons Flyer mid week service

Free Bus Service between Lyons and Boulder


Lyons Flyer adds a mid-day route 

Northbound and Southbound 


The Lyons Flyer provides FREE weekday transit service between the Town of Lyons and Boulder. From July 5 to August 31, 2023, Boulder County will add a midday round trip between Lyons and Boulder. The proposed service expansion will increase flexibility for passengers by making mid-day trips between Lyons and Boulder possible. The added times leave Boulder at noon, heading to Lyons and leaving Lyons at 12:50 pm, headed to Boulder. Don't forget that the service is free! Lyons Community Foundation Grant Applications 

Applications Available Now


The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is pleased to announce their 16th Annual Community Support granting season. Applications for Community Support Grants are available to all local non-profit organizations. Apply online starting August 1st. Submissions are due before September 9, 2023. Electronic submissions are required; granting information and applications are available at the LCF website, lyonscf.org. Over the lifetime of the Community Support Grants program, LCF has awarded more than half a million dollars in grant awards. This year, nearly $50,000 will be made available to deserving recipients. 

Grants Review Committee 

Are you new to Lyons? Are you looking for opportunities to learn about the amazing projects led by local nonprofits? Are you in search of a way to give back to the community? If so, we welcome community members to apply to be on the Grants Review Committee. Commitment is two evenings in September. Applications to serve on the Grants Review Committee are available online lyonscf.org, and must be submitted by September 4, 2023.
