Town Hall and Library Art Show
Wednesday, April 12 from 5:30 - 7 pm
Join the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission and community members for the upcoming Art Show on Wednesday, April 12. Local artist Linda Dole Backup's “Heart of the Matter” solo art show will be hung at the Lyons Regional Library in early April. Linda's show will hang through July 6. Linda recently retired from her decades-spanning cardiology career in Longmont.
From the Library, event attendees are encouraged to take a short stroll over to the LAHC's Town Hall Art Show (432 5th Avenue) that is open to all ages and stages of area artists. The theme for this upcoming show is, “Oh, the places you’ve gone!” Creative responses to the theme can include paintings, photography, literary, collage, fabric, wall hangable 3D pieces, and etc. Up to five pieces of ready-to-wall-hang creative responses to the theme should be delivered to Town Hall on Friday April 7 from 5 to 7 p.m., to set up for the Art Show which will be held on Wednesday, April 12. There will be live music and Macarena Anguita Schrodt's popular empanadas from Frida Cafe and Bakery, as well as a selection of beverages, will be available at the library.
The LAHC acknowledges and appreciates the generous support from the Lyons Community Foundation, the Town of Lyons, the Lyons community, and the hours of volunteer involvement from local arts enthusiasts who kindly make things happen.
