Limb Drop Off Event

Saturday, Nov 5 | 9 am- noon

The Town of Lyons is helping to host another self-service Fire Mitigation/Fuels Reduction Drop Off Day. This drop-off service is for residents with property located within the Lyons Fire Protection District boundary, for one day only, Saturday, November 5, from 9 am - Noon at the Lyons Public Works Facility.   

LOCATION:  4687 Ute Hwy, in front of Town’s public works facility, (east of the tiny house builder)

• Branches and limbs ONLY.
• NO yard waste, roots, grass, pine needles, pine cones, tree stumps, flood debris, dirt, rocks, construction materials, lumber or trash. It will not be accepted.
• No construction debris or treated lumber. No nails or wire in limbs. It will not be accepted.
• Limbs should be cut as straight as possible. Limbs must be less than 6" diameter and all cuts facing the same direction. 
• Self- service, you unload your vehicle 
• Residential Use Only
• Volunteers will ensure materials meet the requirements.
• No commercial drop-off accepted.

The Boulder County Area Agency on Aging together with Boulder County Public Health are offering a flu and COVID booster clinic for all ages at the Walt Self Senior Center, 335 Railroad Ave.

The November 8 General Election will feature federal, state, and local level content. 
Voting:  All active, registered voters will automatically be mailed a ballot, but Vote Centers will also operate for those who need or want to vote in person, to vote using accessible voting equipment, to get a replacement ballot, or to register or update their voter registration in person.
Voter Registration: If you are not sure if you are registered or have moved in the last year, check your voter registration at www.GoVoteColorado.gov. Colorado does not have a registration deadline (you can register and vote on the same day), but early registration is encouraged in order to send your mail ballot in a timely fashion. 

The Lyons Regional Library will serve as a Vote Center for those who wish to vote in person.

  • Monday, November 7: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Election Day (Tuesday, November 8): 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Free Public Transportation to/from Boulder

2 routes daily


The Lyons Flyer just celebrated it's 1,000th rider.
The public transportation system provides service between downtown Lyons at Broadway and 4th into Boulder, along US 36 and traveling south on Broadway within Boulder.  View a detailed route map and list of stops. Riders can also track their bus’s arrival time and location in real-time using Transit App, available for iOS and Android.

Artist Showcase

Saturday, November 12 | 2 - 5 pm


There is a free artist showcase in honor of the life and service of volunteer Firefighter Griffin Ferguson occurring on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the A-Lodge featuring local musicians Joe Kuckla, Charlie Rose, and The River Pigs. Donations are accepted and will be used to help the development and continuation of a First Responder Peer Support Program. For more information visit lyonsfire.org
