The Growth Framework defines the types of land uses that are currently present or envisioned for the future in different areas of Lyons and includes an overview of Lyons' planning areas. Each area has a unique vision for the future and this framework will guide land use decisions over the next 10 to 20 years. Take the survey and let us know what you think any time before July 31!

LaVern Johnson Park ClosuresPlanet Bluegrass Lease Begins this Week
Residents are reminded that LaVern Johnson Park will be closed for the 2022 RockyGrass Festival, beginning on Wednesday, July 27 thru noon on August 1. It will also be closed for Folks Festival beginning on Thursday, August 11 thru noon on Monday, August 15 as part of the lease agreement with Planet Bluegrass. Residents with proof of local address in Lyons (80540) are allowed to walk into the park during the day as part of the lease agreement.

Town of Lyons residents and businesses are invited to go "lights out" on Friday, August 5, during one of the peak viewing nights of the Perseid meteor shower. Lyons Community Foundation Grants15th Annual Grant Cycle Opens August 1st
The Lyons Community Foundation (LCF) is pleased to announce the 15th Annual Community Support grant season. Applications for Community Support Grants are available to all local non-profit organizations. Apply online starting August 1st. These grants are available only once per year. Electronic submissions are required; granting information and applications are available at lyonscf.org. Over the lifetime of the Community Support Grants program, LCF has awarded half a million dollars in grant awards. This year, $42,000 will be made available to deserving recipients.

Lyons Flyer Daily Transit Service
Boulder County, in partnership with the Town of Lyons, City of Boulder, Regional Transportation District (RTD) and Via Mobility Services is restoring commuter transit bus service along US 36 between Lyons and Boulder. The service, rebranded as the “Lyons Flyer,” will replace the Y route, formerly operated by RTD.
The transit service will operate twice daily, Monday - Friday for Lyons to/from Boulder. For complete details, visit the updated website. We are working to get the schedule to be mobile phone friendly. See you soon on the Bus!

National Night OutTuesday, Aug 2 Bohn Park Join the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office on August 2 in Bohn Park, for an evening of community building. National Night Out is designed to help increase awareness of crime prevention, strengthen neighborhood spirit and partner with local law enforcement and first responders. This free family-friendly event is fun for all ages.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors, law enforcement and first responders and provides a great opportunity to bring law enforcement and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
