As road work continues on US-36, requiring portions of the westbound right lane to be closed, please remember the businesses will remain normal business hours, and vehicle access will be provided to the businesses at all times.

Lyons Primary Planning Area Master Plan

Public Planning Workshops

The Town of Lyons, along with the hired consultant team, will be holding public meetings for the Lyons Primary Planning Area (LPPA) Master Plan. The LPPA includes parcels that are currently outside of Town limits.  As part of this planning process, the LPPA has been broken out into three small areas: the Eastern Corridor & Gateway; South St. Vrain River/County Road 69 Area; and Apple Valley.

The first three public workshops will focus on the Eastern Corridor & Gateway. The details are as follows:

There's been a recent report that local livestock was attacked and destroyed by an off-leash dog. Please remember to adhere to the Town's leash law, as it will be enforced.

Active Adults 50+ Fitness Class

Every Wednesday Starting March 9
10:15 AM-11:30 AM
Walt Self Building

Let’s get together and exercise for fitness and fun.  Lori LeGault will be leading a 1 hour and 15 minute total body workout every Wednesday from 10:15 AM-11:30 AM.  Starting and ending at the Walt Self Senior Building we will do a 30 minute brisk walk on our back roads, then upon arrival back at Walt Self we will do 30 minutes of strength training using tubing.  We will end with 15 minutes of balance and flexibility.  You are allowed to join in/or duck out of a section of the class.  For example, if you only want to do the strength part, you can join us at 11:15 to finish the class, or if you only want to walk with us, then you can join that part.  Please dress appropriately for exercise with layers and bring a water bottle.   Call 303-823-8250 for any questions.

Lyons Regional Library 
The Lyons Parks and Recreation department, in conjunction with the Lyons Library, is pleased to offer a basic computer skills class for Lyon’s Active Adults 50+ at the Lyons Regional Library. This class will go over e-mail, Facebook, and internet skills, and can help you get more connected with all of the most-used Lyons Facebook pages. There is a maximum of 5 participants for this class.
