November 2021 Coordinated Election

Results

The 2021 Coordinated Election includes state, county, and local level content.
The solar facility and its location question was approved by the voters. Preliminary results show nearly 68% in favor, with 32% opposed.  It takes about 10 days to fully certify the election results.

Residents north of Main St will be impacted by Infrared Street Patching which is scheduled for this week (Nov 1-4), weather dependent. 
Additionally Crack Sealing is planned to take place the next week, November 8-11. 

Streets impacted include:

2nd Ave-Old Main North

Mountain View
1st Ave
Stickney-from 3rd East to alley
3rd Ave-from Stickney to Seward 
4th Ave from Stickney North 
Seward
Reese


Vehicles will need to be removed from those streets during the work hours, 7 am - 5 pm for the contractor to complete the work. Help us help you, please move your vehicle as needed. Thank you!

USED BOOK SALE continues at library:

11/6 SATURDAY 10am -2pm

All proceeds from the Used Book Sale go to support materials and programs for the Library.

Vendor Registration

Holiday Artisan Market


Interested in being a vendor at the December for the Holiday Artisan Market?


The last day to register for this year’s Holiday Artisan Market is a week away.  We have a few spots left and Nov. 5th is the final day to submit an application.  Sign up to sell your quality handcrafted items at this once a year event.  Come sell your lovingly crafted wares alongside other quality craft vendors. This year we will be adhering to the school districts Covid-19 rules which include masks for everyone inside the building. The school district is following Boulder County guidelines and restrictions can change at any time.

Full refunds (minus the online processing fee) will be offered if the event is canceled due to Covid-19. 
Ages (for vendors): 18 and up
Dates: Sat and Sun, Dec 4 & 5, 10 am - 4 pm
Location: (hopefully)  Lyons Elementary Gym, 338 High St;
Vendor Registration Fee: $75 - $85

Regarding Tourism

The Town of Lyons  is working with the Colorado Tourism office, seeking feedback from residents about the impact of tourism on the community. 
Take 10 minutes to share your feedback. Please fill out the survey before October 31, 2021. 


RV Parking Ordinance

Effective January 18, 2022,  recreation vehicles, watercraft and trailers in excess of 20 feet in length excluding hitches and  tongues, may not be parked on town streets or right-of-way for periods longer than 72 hours. 


Sewer Repairs

Sewer Line Update

The sewer main is estimated to be completed this week.
Beginning Tuesday November 9, the contractor plans to begin connecting the existing sewer service lines to the new main.  This will require a few hours of not flushing or running water down the drain.  The contractor will be going door to door as this is done.  They estimate 4 service connections each day starting at the lower end of Longs Peak Dr.
