Cameron Peak Fire Update

Lyons Fire Protection District and the Town of Lyons wants to ensure that our community has the most up to date information possible regarding the Cameron Peak Fire to our north.

As of this morning, Saturday October 17^th, the fire has remained north of Highway 34 and there are no evacuations affecting our fire district.

You can also text the word LCEVAC to 888777 to receive text message alerts about evacuations, road closures, credentialing, and other important updates.

The best way to ensure you will be notified if an evacuation occurs in your area is to sign up for the Larimer County and/or Boulder County emergency messaging systems. Those two sites can be found here:

If the fire were to move south and begin to affect our district, the Boulder Office of Emergency Management will be the source of information for evacuation and support needs. https://www.boulderoem.com/.

Our community is amazing, and we have already been contacted by several people asking how to help. As of right now, the best way to help is to take care of yourself and your neighbors.
