Covid-19 Testing in Boulder

Free COVID-19 Testing in Boulder

Drive-Thru and Walk-Up Locations


Boulder County Public Health, the University of Colorado-Boulder, City of Boulder, and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment have partnered to bring free COVID-19 testing to Boulder. 

Currently there is a drive-thru location at Stazio Fields and a walk-up location on Pleasant Street in Boulder.

Anyone interested in being tested is encouraged to visit either testing site. An appointment is not required, and there is no cost to receive the test. Residents should bring a form of identification to ensure that test results can be accurately recorded. Learn more.

Hydrant Flow Testing

Monday Sept 28

Some water customers in the Town of Lyons may experience temporary water pressure interruptions due to hydrant flow testing on Monday, September 28. The hydrant testing is limited and water pressure should quickly return to normal in the impacted areas. If you notice discoloration in the water,  please run the cold water to clear any discoloration in your pipes.

Roadwork Wrapping Up

Roadwork Wrapping Up

The contractor and crew doing the road work in Lyons has completed milling and paving for the project, most recently with the installation of new pavement on 4th Ave between Broadway and Main St.

The sub contractor will need to return to Lyons do final striping, install stop signs and final concrete work. Striping includes stop bars, painting crosswalks and yellow striping in no parking areas. Thank you for your patience as this project ends completion.

The next large flood recovery project will be the 2nd Ave. Bridge Replacement, projected to begin this fall.


November General Election

What you need to know


Active registered Colorado voters are automatically sent ballots in the mail.
Ballots for the Nov 3 General Election are mailed beginning October 9. 

With the ongoing pandemic, voting at home is the safest way to vote in the November 3 General Election (Vote Centers will be available for those that need or want to vote in-person).

Take action now to ensure you receive a mail ballot: register to vote or check/update your ballot mailing address at www.GoVoteColorado.gov

Maybe you're great with numbers or budgets. Or more interested in preserving Lyons history. Joining a board or commission is a great way to become involved and help shape the decisions made in your community. There are currently vacancies on several different commissions.

Many in our community are still suffering financially due to COVID-19. LEAF, Lyons Emergency & Assistance Fund, has two different grant funds available to help people who have lost income because of the pandemic.
