Lyons Town Hall Mural

The Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission (LAHC) is working with world-renowned, local artist Android Jones to extend the mural to the north side of the building that faces towards Railroad Ave. at Lyons Town Hall. We feel that more people will enjoy the mural once it's wrapped around the north side.

Once again, Android Jones will incorporate local wildlife that wonder in Lyons, including a bear, snake and others. This creative and engaging mural celebrates all of the wonderful, natural elements that surround Lyons. The north side will be visible from Railroad Ave, giving travelers a glimpse of what makes Lyons unique, also offering residents and guests a striking mural to enjoy while walking to and from our parks and throughout town.

Android Jones and his family are Lyons locals. Android’s work has been projected on the Sydney Opera House, the Empire State Building, and has been featured in the Smithsonian Museum. The LAHC is thrilled to be working with this dynamic artist to expand on this permanent addition to Lyons’ outdoor art collection and recognize this creative homegrown talent.

The LAHC together with the Lyons Regional Library will host a kids activity with Lyons youth to nominate a ‘Wild Card’ animal for Android Jones to include on the north side.
